La Ferme de l'Arsouille is a wedding venue in Belgium, in Temploux, part of the city of Namur1. It seats up to 250 guests, and holds up to 400 people standing2. Brussels-Central station is 59 km away by road, a drive of 58 minutes without traffic3.
Temploux, between Namur and Charleroi
The farm stands at rue de la Grande Sambresse 5, 5020 Temploux1. It was once a cowshed, and the renovated building is made of natural stone4. Without traffic, the drive from Namur railway station takes 14 minutes and covers 9 km5. From Charleroi-Central station, it takes 27 minutes and covers 29 km6.
How far from Brussels, Liège and Mons
| From | By car, without traffic | By road |
|---|---|---|
| Brussels-Central station | 58 minutes3 | 59 km |
| Liège-Guillemins station | 50 minutes7 | 68 km |
| Mons station | 48 minutes8 | 67 km |
The drives to the farm from Liège-Guillemins station7 and from Mons station8 differ by one kilometre and two minutes, without traffic. If you marry in Walloon Brabant, your reception can also be held in Temploux.
Two ways off the E411
Guests driving on the E411 can leave it at exit 13 (Champion), 16 km and 15 minutes from the farm without traffic9. They can also stay on it as far as the Daussoulx interchange and change there onto the E42. The point where they leave the E411 is then 13 km and 13 minutes from the farm, without traffic10.
How many couples marry in Belgium, and on which day
In 2024, Statbel, the Belgian statistics office, recorded 48,589 marriages, 4.3% more than in 2023 and the most since the start of the century11. That total includes 4,390 marriages celebrated abroad11. Of those celebrated in Belgium, 12,625 took place in Wallonia11.
From 2015 to 2023, 55% of weddings celebrated in Belgium fell on a Saturday, 25% on a Friday and less than 1% on a Sunday12. Whichever day you choose, the farm hosts a single event on that date, so no other party shares it with yours13.
The day across two floors
The venue is one room on two floors, and both floors can be set out to suit your wedding14. If you want a religious ceremony, it can be held on the property itself15. For the drinks reception and the photographs, we recommend the garden and the terrace16. After that, we suggest serving the meal upstairs, where it is more intimate, and keeping the ground floor for dancing16.
The upper floor is laid with parquet, under exposed roof timbers4. The meal is cooked by the caterer you choose17. When we say we can seat 250 guests2, we mean the whole venue, not the upper floor on its own.
On their way up to the meal, guests cross the ground floor18. Once the meal is over, everyone comes back down to dance, on the same floor as the fully equipped bar19.
Guests travelling from afar
We let the farm for a day, an evening or a whole weekend20. With a weekend hire, family who have travelled far can meet again at the farm the day after the wedding. On both days, guests leave their cars at the farm, whose car park is large and lit21.
