Couples from Walloon Brabant can hold their wedding reception at La Ferme de l'Arsouille, in Temploux, part of the city of Namur1. The drive from Louvain-la-Neuve takes 29 minutes without traffic2. You can invite up to 250 guests seated at table, or 400 standing3. You choose the caterer4.
The drive from Louvain-la-Neuve and Wavre
| From | By car, without traffic | By road |
|---|---|---|
| Louvain-la-Neuve | 29 minutes2 | 29 km |
| The centre of Wavre | 33 minutes5 | 34 km |
Your guests leave the E411 at exit 13 (Champion)6. From the end of the slip road, the farm is 16 km away, a 15-minute drive without traffic6.
Weddings in Wavre, Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve and Waterloo
In 2024, 1,380 weddings were celebrated in the province of Walloon Brabant7. Wavre accounted for 112 of them, Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve for 98 and Waterloo for 707.
Statbel, Belgium's statistics office, counts each wedding in the municipality where the civil ceremony took place, not where the couple live or hold their reception7.
Drinks, dinner and dancing in one place
We let each date to a single event8, so from the drinks to the last dance, the only guests at the farm are yours. Once your guests have driven over from the civil ceremony at the town hall, they stay in one place until the party ends. A religious ceremony can take place on the property too, so they do not have to drive anywhere else9.
We advise moving through the house as the day goes on. Drinks and photographs belong in the garden and on the terrace, dinner on the more intimate upper floor, and dancing downstairs10. It is only advice, because both floors can be arranged to suit each event11. We publish no figure for how many guests can dine upstairs, and our 250 seats3 are a figure for the whole venue.
To reach the upper floor for dinner, guests go through the ground floor12, which also holds the fully equipped bar13. For a wedding, we set aside a space for your DJ14.
The caterer you choose
Because we impose no caterer4, a caterer whose food you enjoyed at a friend's wedding in Wavre can cook at yours in Temploux, in our professional kitchen15.
Couples who would rather hire one of our partner caterers get a discount off the hire price, as long as the caterer serves in the room4.
